Fashion Trends and History of Fashion

Although fashion is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to fashion, fashion dominates in many different areas. It can affect a wide area from music to architecture, from art to literature, from theater to food and accessories. Every field has its own fashion from time to time. Sometimes an ordinary buckle, sometimes a book and sometimes a shoe goes out of business at that time.

History of Fashion

The concept of fashion is said by most circles to have first emerged in the 1900s. Paul Poiret, the assistant of Charles Worth, one of the best tailors of that period, opened his own atelier in Paris in the following years. With Poiret's exhibition of his specially designed dresses, fashion and tailoring took on a different dimension and sparked fashion trends. The historical development of fashion started with Thomas Burberry's first printing of his brand on gabardine in 1902 and began to reach more masses in 1905 when fashion supplements began to be published in newspapers. In 1906, Guccio Gucci founded his company in Florence, working mostly on accessories. In 1913, Gabriel Coco Chanel made a bombshell entry into the fashion world with his hat designs. By the 1920s, Chanel made fashion history by opening a fashion house. In 1915, Jeanne Lanvin became popular with her floral collections, while in 1916, the impact of World War I was reflected in fashion, and clothes with militaristic lines began to be widely used in combinations. In 1927, Salvatore Ferragamo started shoe production in Italy and made his name in the fashion world. He achieved his greatest fame in 1936 with modern sandals, pointed heels made of patent-protected cork and platform heels.
